What will you do

Brighte is looking for an exceptional Senior Finance Manager as we position the business for further growth, a funding warehouse term-out and related liquidity events.  The person will be a seasoned financial accountant with deep experience in financial services and ideally having been involved in an IPO event or listed environment. 

Must have had previous experience with loan management systems in a financial services setting, and ideally having had exposure to securitisation and general ledger integrations

Financial Stewardship
  • Contribute to the timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reporting for each entity and related consolidation entries.
  • Review and improve the quality of balance sheet reconciliations to ensure they are fit for purpose to quickly identify control weaknesses or issues.
  • Preparation of tax calculations and taxation returns (Income Tax, GST, FBT, Payroll Tax and PAYG) as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of Annual Financial statements in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Prepare accounting procedures and ensure key accounting policies are documented with reference to appropriate accounting standards.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders in technology and operations, ensure the core loan management system (finPower) is correctly configured and operating effectively.
  • Assist in the management and configuration of accounting systems.
  • Identify and prepare explanatory information and analysis associated with material variances in trend or against budget.
  • Maintain the day to day relationship with Brighte’s auditors and advisors.
Asset & Liability Management
  • Working closely with Brighte’s Corporate Development team, ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures relating to the securitisation warehouse and various debt facilities; and establish policies and procedures for new debt facilities including public issuance.
  • Closely monitor cash balances, movements in position and cash forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly trust accounts and review cashflow reports for each trust.
What we are looking for
  • Minimum 5-10 years post-qualification experience.
  • Must have experience in the banking or financial services sector or Big 4 accounting firms and preferably in a listed environment (or involved in IPO).
  • Experience in treasury or funding facilities (including securitisation) is essential.
  • Strong documentation skills, including writing policies and procedures.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and ability to engage across a broad range of internal stakeholders.
  • Known for having an inquiring mind and improving financial processes.
  • Exceptional excel skills.
  • University degree in a related discipline
  • CPA or CA qualified
  • Tableau or similar database experience is highly regarded.
  • Highly motivated and capable to grow and expand in the role in accordance with business growth and expansion
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
