The Role
Our facilities at the Dame Phyliss Frost Centre and Ravenhall Correctional Centre are looking for Medical Officers to join our team on either a full-time, part-time basis. Both facilities are situated in Ravenhall, where DPFC is a female facility and RCC is a private male facility.

Our Medical Officers are an integral part of the primary healthcare team at the correctional facility and are primarily responsible for:
  • The provision and supervision of medical care to patients
  • Providing medical input to clinically related matters
  • Evaluation of medical programs and medical services required and/or provided
  • Working as an integral part of the health care team for the site and for Correct Care Australasia (Correct Care)
Essential experience and attributes include the following selection criteria:
  • Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience
  • Fully registered by AHPRA
  • Experience in mental health, drug and alcohol and emergency care
  • Ability to provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment
  • The ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff
