This role is based at Nyrstar’s operations in the city of Port Pirie, South Australia. A seaport located on the east coast of the Upper Spencer Gulf, 220km north of Adelaide.
 
The Business Analyst will be part of the Reliability & Planning Team and core functions of the role will be to develop new business performance reporting tools to optimise the extraction of performance data, drive Lean Management through data interpretation and assist in development of organisational and process improvement initiatives through problem identification via interrogation of performance data, processes and systems.
 
Key responsibilities will include:

Lead existing Business Analytical activities on site, including;
  • Interrogating of production and maintenance performance data;
  • Development of business reporting tools;
  • The use and interpretation of reliability and maintenance data. I.e. Weibull, FMECA, failure rates, MTTF, MTBF, OEE to deliver an overall result;
  • Monitoring and drive progress on reliability initiatives;
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of new reliability improvement projects to drive continuous improvement in all areas of the site;
  • Support site leadership teams to ensure a seamless integration of the site processes, including reliability and compliance with increased audit and reporting requirements;
  • Contribute to the development of Group Standards, Policies and Procedures;
  • Provide support for key group improvement processes including Risk Management (RIMS) and Process Information Management (PIMS).
The Successful applicant will have:
  • Application, use and development of business reporting tools is essential;
  • High level of experience with SAP;
  • Experience in the use of PCS7, IFIX, ION (Electrical network Information) is an advantage;
  • High levels of computer literacy in the use of Microsoft Office are essential;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position is desirable;
  • Experience in the use of production performance reporting tools and CMMS is preferred;
  • Mechanical or Electrical reliability background. Experience in an industrial, manufacturing or mining sector is preferred; and
  • Business acumen is beneficial.
This role will require you to live in Port Pirie or the surrounding district. A relocation package will be available.
