Second Year Station Hands Required - NT Cattle Station

Our clients operate a large cattle station located 2 hours South of Katherine running around 12,000 Brahman cross cattle over 2,000 square kilometres of country. We are searching for suitably experienced station hands who are in their second year or higher and have good knowledge of station duties and Northern cattle operations. We will consider applications from people who have a passion for agriculture and basic livestock skills from Southern areas who are very keen to learn and work hard.
 
Mustering is about to start and is done on two-wheel bikes with aerial assistance using bush yards to catch cattle but there is no horse work.  You will need to be able to work well within a team, listen, follow orders, and understand and respect cattle
 
With a mix a solar and mono bore systems there is a need for you to be involved in water runs and an understanding of these would be beneficial.  Fencing, welding, and mechanical knowledge would also be advantageous.
 
You will enjoy working in a small yet productive crew and take pride in your work and presentation.
The station is in a great area for exploring and activities during time off being 80 kilometres from Mataranka hot springs with great fishing in the roper river, Daly waters pub is just down the road.
 
You will be paid a fair day rate and given well kept accommodation plus all meals. No dogs.
