MVP Asia Pacific Inc. is currently looking for a Sr. iOS Developer for our client who is a device management and configuration company leveraging software development to deliver automation and business insight in an intuitive, seamless workplace technology solution for half the AFR20 and small business. The team is distributed across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Europe.
As an iOS Developer, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed initially at a range of iOS devices across iPhone iPad and Mac. This will be followed by the inclusion of Cisco/Meraki and Windows devices. Your primary focus will be development of our iOS application and supporting back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential. We expect an attention to detail and initiative to think beyond the requirements and strive to always produce a delightful and seamless user experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Development of iOS application and supporting back-end services.
  • Design and build applications for the iOS and Mac (Catalyst) platforms, Magento (PHP) and ServiceNow (Javascript).
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Ensure the build and execution of automated test cases is part of all services.
  • Collaborate with technical resources to define, design, and integrate new features.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Produce user and technical documentation in Confluence wiki.
  • Plan and manage work items using Jira software.
  • Work closely with our local engineers on future roadmaps, critical analysis of and input into required capabilities.
  • The individual will be the initial contact for the other developers to assist with providing direction or validating design decisions.
To be qualified, you should have:
  • A degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or any related field.
  • More than 6 years working experience in iOS development.
  • Proficient with the latest Swift and SwiftUI principles
  • Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • Understand the concepts of Microservices and a Services based architecture
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
  • Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
  • Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
  • Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools such as Crashlytics
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • Knack for benchmarking and optimization
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning in git Bitbucket
  • Familiarity with continuous integration
