Work with a global Property Fund leading all aspects of development works, including overall development management of existing and new assets.

Our client is a leading multinational Investment and Fund Manager with a strong history and track record of acquiring and developing predominantly Commercial and Retail assets in growth regions. This is a new role due to new acquisitions and the need for a dedicated resource in house to manage refurbishment and upgrades to existing assets, whilst looking at high and best use for development sites.

Reporting to the Head of Investment, key responsibilities will include:
  • Conceptualise development design requirements and formulate design briefs to ensure that these are aligned with the Company’s development strategy.
  • Managing the development of design concepts/options, pipelines for the projects and to ensure these options/concepts are delivered on time and meet the Asset Manager’s requirements.
  • Manage the design consultants and liaise with all relevant authorities for approval of projects, managing tender and award processes, as well as construction and contract administration to meet the Company's development strategy and Asset Manager’s requirements.
  • Ensure the completion of projects is within budget, schedule and expected quality, and in compliance with the regulatory requirements and corporate governance.
  • Work with the team to analyse and advise on the development costs of greenfield and asset enhancement projects.
  • Produce the initial construction cashflows and provide advice on cost and construction risks.
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will need:
  • Degree in Property/Architecture/Civil/Structural Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 - 10 years' relevant development or project management experience in the execution of Commercial and Retail projects
  • A good understanding of the entire design, project management, and building process of development projects.
  • To possess a high level of independence, cultural sensitivity, endurance and adaptability and demonstrate excellent leadership to drive projects.
  • Other key attributes include being able to operate independently and autonomously and importantly be a strong team player.
  • Please note you may be required to travel within the region occasionally / as and when required.
