About the role
The purpose of this position is to manage the purchasing process to ensure all financial commitments comply with the alliance budget and process requirements. You will work alongside a team of experienced purchasing officers giving you opportunities to learn and develop on a competitive salary.

Key responsibilities include
  • Ensure suppliers are set up in the alliance purchasing system in accordance with New Zealand compliance requirements
  • Collect and process purchase requisitions into the alliance purchasing system to avoid delays to the construction program
  • Support the project team to address changes in the purchasing system so that information is maintained correctly and without error
  • Store and maintain purchasing records to accommodate alliance audit requirements
  • Improving existing processes within the purchasing team 
About You:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a buyer, purchasing officer or similar role requiring you to purchasing for a large project or organisation
  • Experience within the construction industry is advantageous
  • Data management and high organisational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
