Link Alliance - City Rail Link

We are searching for all Surveyors to plan, direct and conduct survey work and fulfil Survey requirements on the City Rail Link Project.

About us
The City Rail Link (CRL) Project is a game changer for Auckland and is the largest transport infrastructure project ever undertaken in New Zealand. The CRL is a 3.45km twin tunnel, transforming the dead-end station at Britomart, creating two new stations at Aotea and Karangahape Road and reconnecting to the network at a redeveloped Mt Eden station.
The consortium of large local and international constructors and designers delivering C3 is the Link Alliance, and our team includes Vinci Construction Grands Project S.A.S, Downer NZ, Soletanche Bachy International NZ, WSP Opus (NZ), AECOM New Zealand and Tonkin + Taylor. 

Key responsibilities include but not limited:
  • Determine appropriate survey methodology and equipment to complete daily Survey tasks. 
  • Set up appropriate systems to collate, calculate and present gathered survey information. 
  • Collation of quantities for preparation of monthly progress claims and subcontractor payments. 
  • Survey set out as required by the Construction Team to enable construction of the work to the specified standard.
  •  As-built pickup of the works, and maintaining data standards.
  • Establishment, maintaining and monitoring of survey control points. 
  • Survey accurate monitoring data for design and construction teams.
  • Able to design and present minor alterations.
  • Ensure that sufficient evidence through survey is gathered to support design variations. 
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all parties affected by the contract. 
  • Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures and actively support the Survey Manager to promote safety on site. 
  • Support, implement and adhere to H&S policies and procedures. 
  • Support a culture that supports and maintains zero harm, environmental and sustainability practice and management. 
  • Promote a safe and environmentally sound working environment and a culture of safe and responsible behaviours and attitudes, ensuring safety.  
  • Contribute to the identification and minimization of business risks and compliance issues.
About You:
·         Ideally 2 years Construction experience.
·         Hold an NZ Diploma in Surveying or Bachelor of Surveying or equivalent.
·         Competent with modern civil software (Civil3D, 12D, or Trimble Business Centre).
·         Experience with Trimble Total Stations and GNSS.
·         Be a strong team player in a large Survey Team.
·         Will take the initiative to find and tackle problems before they arise.
·         Enjoy problem solving.
·         Is excited about the challenge of working on NZ’s largest Infrastructure Project, in an International Alliance.
·         Must hold a ConstructSafe Tear 1 ticket
