About us
The City Rail Link (CRL) Project is the country’s largest transport infrastructure project. Its 3.45km twin tunnels will transform the dead-end station at Britomart, deliver two new stations at Aotea and Karangahape and reconnect to the existing Western Line at a redeveloped Mt Eden Station.

The Link Alliance is a consortium of local and international construction companies responsible for delivering the tunnelling, stations and the systems contracts.  These companies include Vinci Construction Grands Project, Downer NZ Ltd, Soletanche Bachy International NZ Limited, WSP Opus (NZ) Limited, AECOM New Zealand Limited and Tonkin + Taylor Limited.

Purpose
The Senior Structures Site Engineer is responsible for providing on-site monitoring of all construction related works to ensure quality, Health and Safety, and environmental aspects are completed to the required specification and management plans. They will also monitor financial elements such as procurement and deliveries, productivity targets, and subcontractor attendance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide input on early and ongoing procurement of all CRL C3 construction materials, equipment and subcontractors and then manage this throughout the delivery of the project
  • Management and Supervision of sub-contractors on site
  • Assist the Project Engineer in the implementation of CEP, Quality Plans and Safety Plans
  • Liaison and co-ordination with HSEQ and Stakeholder Engagement teams
  • Collaborate with other Engineers and Station Leads to review, implement and manage the safety and quality requirements for the project
  • Monitor productivity and keep daily records summarising works completed and daily progress
  • Ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance is achieved
To be successful in this role
  • Must hold a tertiary qualification or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • 3-5 years experience in, and / or knowledge of, civil infrastructure works, including insitu concrete, precast construction, structural steel installation, TW erection, excavation and shotcrete
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise duties; takes initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Strong commitment to Health & Safety initiatives
