A great opportunity is available to join a high performing technical team in the role of Process Engineer based in Moura, QLD.

The purpose of this Process Engineering role is to deliver business outcomes through the management of process safety, the identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives and the provision of high quality technical advice and the management of catalysts, process technology and systems.

Key responsibilities will include;
  • Design, construction and commissioning activities in the process engineering discipline to meet defined project objectives
  • Champion the process hazard identification and risk management process
  • Development and continuous improvement of engineering, plant and equipment standards and specifications in the process engineering discipline
  • Develop production and process performance metrics and use these metrics to improve process performance in terms of process safety, production, efficiency and waste reduction
  • Ensure management plans and monitoring systems are in place for catalysts and packings, to optimise catalyst performance and life
  • Proactively manage process issue resolution and lead problem solving and root cause activities
  • Lead, develop and coach the process engineering team
Suitable applicants will have;
  • A Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • A minimum 2 to 3 + years’ experience or more in the petrochemical industry or directly aligned industry
  • Ability to manage people and drive teams to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in plant shutdowns
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement

The role is based in Moura offering relaxed living in a picturesque location and proximity to good schools and healthcare as well as affordable housing.
