Right now an exciting opportunity exists for four permanent full time Labourers to join our Parks and Recreation team in Clermont.

Right now, an exciting opportunity exists for four (4) permanent full time Labourers to join our Engineering and Infrastructure Directorate in Clermont. As part of the Parks and Recreation Department, this position will report to the Team Leader - Parks and Recreation and is responsible for carrying out grounds maintenance of community usage areas including sportsgrounds, parks, open space and cemeteries for the Engineering and Infrastructures across Isaac Regional Council.
  
ABOUT YOU
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge and experience in basic mechanics, general maintenance and/or gardening
  • Basic written communication skills
  • Ability to discuss and resolve issues/problems politely and respectfully
  • Relevant certification for the operation of plant & equipment, horticulture and poison operations
  • Construction White Card
  • C Class Open Australian Drivers Licence
  • LR Class Drivers Licence (desirable)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment functional assessment and behavioural testing
BENEFITS
  • Salary $51,636.78 - $52,672.99 per annum + allowances
    • Locality allowance (Between $45.50- $91) per fortnight
    • Construction workers allowance ($63 per 76-hour fortnight)

  • Nominally 38 hours per week
  • 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
  • 12% super in accordance with Council policy
  • RDO’s in accordance with Council policy
