This well established Qld owned and operated business has recently consolidated, recalibrated and are well poised for future growth and a healthy pipeline of projects.  Their brand is synonymous with quality and they have designed and built a number of well known commercial and industrial projects  across SEQ.
They seek to hire a commercially savvy Company Accountant who is proactive, outcomes focused and able to provide the business owners with management reporting and project information, on time,  every time. The role reports to the
Commercial Manager and will supervise 1 x Finance Officer.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial data;
  • Completing journal entries and reconciliations and managing the lead up to end of month;
  • Participating in project review meetings and advising on cashflow/ accounting impacts;
  • Producing all company financial reporting in line with statutory expectations;
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant taxation requirements including company / BAS/ GST/ FBT/ payroll tax returns;
  • Managing all payment processes including payroll, supplier and sub contractor payments, and
  • Providing insightful advice across a range of financial and commercial initiatives as required.
Success in this role requires a CA /CPA qualified professional who is proactive, will raise issues, take ownership and find solutions, You must also be able to multitask, meet deadlines and build trusting relationships on all levels.
Your experience may have been developed in either a commercial or chartered environment, with a minimum of 5 years commercial experience and ideally exposure to privately owned businesses.
