Gen Physio is looking for a Graduate Speech Pathologist who is able to:
  • Demonstrate initiative in prioritising your workload.
  • Adapt to and work collaboratively within a fast-growing multidisciplinary team.
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Build and foster exceptional working relationships with all stakeholders.

Your new role
At Gen Physio, no two days are the same as you encounter new & exciting challenges.  Though some typical responsibilities that our Speech Pathologists have include:
  • Independently managing clients (assessment, diagnosis, planning and treatment)
  • Provide client-driven, evidence-based therapy services to clients in their home and community environments, focusing on their personal goal attainment.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, such as other health professionals, family members, educational staff, and community members, to provide individualised support plans.
  • Provide accurate, timely and high-quality reports.
  • Working with a diverse caseload of clients to fast track the development of your clinical skills.
  • The opportunity to progress in your career Clinically &/or into Management opportunities.
  • Buddy Practitioner Program (Unique to Gen Physio).
  • 1:1 Fortnightly Mentoring calls with your Team Leader.

To help you reach your full potential & support you we will:

  • Offer the opportunity to do a ‘virtual ride along’ with one of our QLD clinicians prior to your start date so you get a feel of how we operate as a mobile community service.
  • Kick start your new career by participating in a specialised training/buddy program where you learn the ins and outs of Gen Physio.
  • Provide ongoing 1:1 mentoring and support from industry leaders. 
  • Give you access to a Clinical Education Coordinator to assist & support you on your PD journey and achieving your goals.
  • Support you with a dedicated Marketing, Scheduling & Accounts team that generate leads, book in initial appointments and invoice/chase up payments on your behalf.
  • Provide you with on the road access to client records to get your clinical notes and reports done in work time rather than after hours.
  • Give you access to an equipment budget to help support your client needs.

To be successful for this role, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
  • Full SPA Registration or willing to attain
  • Current national police check & First Aid Certificate (or willing to attain)
  • Public Indemnity (PI) Insurance with a minimum of $10 million cover (or willing to attain)
  • Passion for helping people of all ages and ethnicity
  • Capability to work with all stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for your clients
  • The desire to be challenged and further progress your career
  • Demonstrated experience working autonomously within your role
  • Excellent time management & problem-solving skills
