The Company

This small civil specialist engineering design consultancy were formed over 10 years ago by a highly respected and well known name in the land and urban infrastructure market.  They have outstanding networks and contacts and their company reflects their personality and values; honesty, integrity, collaboration and being fair to everyone.  As a result, they have a loyal client base who give them repeat business, as well as utilising their business development skills to consistently win new work.

Their order book is already 80% full for 2021, and they are in the process of signing-off on a number of further major projects.  They are looking to grow and can offer a Senior Civil Design Engineer the chance to further their careers with excellent management and professional development opportunities.

The Role

A Senior Civil Design Engineer is sought to help facilitate the next growth phase of the business.  Opportunities to win further work are plentiful, so in order to free up the Director's time further, an extra layer of management is required.  This is a hands-on design role with responsibilities for managing staff and projects.

The Responsibilities

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will assist in managing the design team, carry out hands-on design work, review and approve designs and drawings, liaise with all stakeholders and will manage jobs from concept through to completion.

  • 10 years + of experience as a Civil Design Engineer
  • Experience of managing and mentoring staff

  • Enjoy leading projects and interacting with clients and stakeholders
  • Although not essential as they are so busy, any networks or contacts that you could leverage to win work would be highly advantageous
  • NSW engineering design consultancy experience
