Aged Care Support Worker

The Aged Care Sector is looking for candidates who truly want to make a difference in someone’s life whilst commencing or further developing their own career.

What an Aged Care Support Worker does
  • Assist in the day to day care of the people you support such as, meal preparation, cleaning, personal care, other domestic duties within the home
  • Personal care, toileting, showering, daily grooming tasks
  • Assist in the administration of medication

  • Available to work across a 7 day roster inclusive of varied day and night shifts

Essential Skills
  • Qualification – Possess or are currently working towards a certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support
  • Professional and holistic approach to Aged Care
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Computer Literacy – Ability to use Client Management Systems and MS word and emails
  • National Police Check
  • Applicable State checks to work with vulnerable people if required
  • Understanding of the following:
  • Knowledge of the legislation & regulations that underpin the Aged Care Sector
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written communications literacy
  • Drivers Licence
  • Comprehensively insured roadworthy vehicle (home visits)

About Sector

Aged Care Support roles are often initially on a casual basis and progress to part or full time as you continue with the organisation. Hours usually are determined on the client base and if you are adapting easily to the working environment and tasks required. Carevolution will support you through training and mentoring opportunities to develop your skills further.
