The exciting opportunities: 
  • Your choice where you live and work – be based in Roebourne (detox centre) or South Hedland (rehabilitation centre)
  • Plan and take part in the centre’s admission requirements and process; conduct screening and assessments, and create support plans
  • Manage a case load of clients, providing them with counselling and access to additional AOD recovery services
  • Utilise the “Community as Method” therapy program, ensuring all mental and physical issues of clients are addressed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referring agencies and other external stakeholders who provide support to individuals applying to AOD programs
  • Generate brand awareness and deliver education to promote services within the local community
  • Assist to improve procedures and best practice in recovery based client activities

About you: 
  • Hold a degree as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Social Worker, Behavioural Scientist or Counsellor and hold registration with the relevant governing body (if relevant)
  • Must have experience working in a drug and alcohol treatment setting and knowledge of the Therapeutic Community Rehabilitation model
  • Demonstrated ability in individual case management and facilitating client group sessions
  • Experience working in the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander health sector is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to network, develop relationships and keep comprehensive case notes
