MMA Offshore is seeking expressions of interest from Chief Engineers, 1st Engineers and 2nd Engineers with offshore experience to work on our vessels.

MMA Offshore is seeking expressions of interest from Chief Engineers, 1st Engineers and 2nd Engineers with offshore experience to work on our vessels operating across Australia. 

Engineering Officers duties will include, but not be limited to:
  • Place importance on health, safety, security and the environment above all other requirements
  • Comply with all HSEQ policies and procedures as well as ensuring tasks are undertaken in a safe and competent manner
  • Ensure the safe operation of the vessel's engine room, machinery spaces and equipment in accordance with Flag, Statutory and Company Conventions, Rules and Regulations
  • Implement and promote the Company's policies, procedures and management system on board the vessel
Minimum qualifications and competencies for all positions: 
  • Hold a STCW VI/6 Security Awareness Endorsement
  • Hold a valid Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or able to meet requirements
  • Hold a valid AMSA Medical Certificate or equivalent
  • Hold a valid Passport with a minimum of 6 months’ currency
  • Be able to apply for and meet National Police Certificate requirements
  • Full Australian Work Rights
Chief Engineer required qualifications and competencies:
  • STCW III/2 Chief Engineer Unlimited or equivalent AMSA Certificate of Recognition
  • Demonstrated experience as a Chief Engineer offshore
  • DP Maintenance Certificate
  • Frequency drive training (advantageous)
  • System control training (advantageous)
  • Azimuth propulsion training (advantageous)
2nd Engineer’s required qualifications and competencies:
  • AMSA STCW III/2 Class 2 Engineer Unlimited or equivalent AMSA Certificate of Recognition
  • Demonstrated experience offshore as an Engineer
  • DP maintenance certificate (advantageous)
  • Frequency drive training (advantageous)
  • System control training (advantageous)
  • Azimuth propulsion training (advantageous)
Engineer Watchkeeper required qualifications and competencies:
  • AMSA STCW III/1 Engineer Watchkeeper Unlimited or equivalent AMSA Certificate of Recognition
  • DP Maintenance Certificate, frequency drive, system control and azimuth propulsion training are advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience offshore as an Engineer
  • DP Maintenance Certificate (advantageous)
  • Frequency drive training (advantageous)
  • System control training (advantageous)
  • Azimuth propulsion training (advantageous)
