About the role
Working under the direction of the Accountant, you will play a key role in the continued success of the ALPA Finance department by providing all round support to internal stakeholders. Your sound understanding in finance processes will allow you to settle in your new fast-paced role while providing support to our remote teams in line with the ALPA values. Responsibilities
  • Assist internal customers in person, by telephone and in writing with processing, system familiarisation, and troubleshooting
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager for projects 
  • Provide relief support to other Finance Officers as required 
  • Undertake daily, monthly, quarterly and end of year manual and electronic accounts receivable & accounts payable activities for an assigned area of the business
  • Undertake daily, monthly, quarterly and end of year debtor management activities including telephone contact, written contact, and internal reporting
  • Participate in the telephone system overflow roster, reception relief and in other shared corporate activities.
Skills and Experience
  • Undergraduate qualification in Commerce, Accounting or Business desirable 
  • 2 years’ experience in finance, payroll, bookkeeping, banking or similar
  • Experience in using electronic accounts processing software
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 is desirable
