An exciting opportunity exists for a Level II Radiographer to join our Tacoma Foundry. The Radiographer will be responsible for performing production radiography and interpreting the results of these radiographs on castings and weldments using radioactive isotopes and high energy x-ray equipment, this includes:   
  • Reviewing customer specification requirements within the manufacturing operating system
  • Establishing radiographic techniques on castings and weldments in accordance with customer specifications
  • Reviewing completed radiographs for compliance with technical specifications and applicable acceptance criteria
  • Completing required paperwork to document radiographic inspection and Washington State Department of Health requirements
  • Mentoring Level I Radiographers and Trainees
 
A qualified candidate will have the following qualifications  
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Verifiable previous or current Level II radiographic training and qualification is required (ASNT compliant program, NAS 410, or NAVSEA 250-1500-1)
  • Must be able to provide previous exposure records upon request
  • Ability to read and understand commercial and military specifications and document inspection results accordingly
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Level II Radiographer required
  • Previous experience interpreting radiographs for acceptance to applicable acceptance criteria and documenting of exams is preferred
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong math skills including basic algebra
  • Excellent written (including email) and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Current IRRSP certification is a plus
