They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Purchasing Officer to join the operations team on an ongoing temporary basis, based in South West Sydney.

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Purchasing Officer to join the operations team on an ongoing temporary basis, based in South West Sydney.
The Role:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Raising purchasing orders in SAP for a range of goods and services from both local and overseas suppliers
- Reviewing orders and MRP reports on a daily basis and liaising closely with production on order status and availability
- Expediting and De-expediting purchase orders as required
- Liaising with suppliers regarding orders and delivery confirmation
- Creating and Maintaining PIR and Source lists
- Assisting with New Vendor Selection and Vendor reviews
- Material management in SAP and ensuring the system is compliant for audit purposes
To be successful in this role you will need to be available to start work immediately and must have:
- Several years of experience in Purchasing within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Previous experience working in SAP, coupled with Intermediate Excel Skills
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy levels
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a small team
- Excellent time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines
