Ora Banda Mining (ASX: OBM) is a uniquely positioned gold exploration and development company as 100% owner of the Davyhurst Gold Project in the highly productive Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia.
The Davyhurst project is located 120km north west of Kalgoorlie in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. The project area holds significant regional exploration potential in a “District Scale” land holding comprised of over 200 tenements covering an area of 1,350km2 which contains in excess of 200 strike kilometres of highly prospective greenstone belt.
In June 2020 OBM delivered Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) that confirms Davyhurst as a financially robust development project. Significant DFS highlights include an initial 5.2 year mine life and average annual gold production 81kozpa,
The project remains well funded with first gold was poured on 8 February 2021. Open pit and underground mining is well underway and ramp activities continue within the centrally located 1.2Mtpa processing plant.
The project has a Mineral Resource of 24.3Mt @ 2.8g/t for 2.2M ounces which includes a declared Ore Reserve of 6.1Mt @ 2.4 g/t for 460,000 ounces. The Company has continued with an aggressive resource development and exploration program in recent years. These programs remain ongoing with exploration programs targeting new discoveries along with more detailed resource development work.


Due to our continued ramp up we are looking for experienced Process Technicians.

Reporting to Process Supervisor the Process Technician is responsible for efficiently operate processing circuits of the gold plant to optimise its performance meanwhile ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The responsibilities of this role will include:
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out to the highest standard of safety in accordance with Company policies and workplace safety and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor, control and operate processing circuits of the processing plant, including multi-stage crushing circuits, grinding, CIL, gravity and electro-winning circuits
  • Train entry level and inexperienced operators
  • Assist the Process Supervisor in the coordination of work activities
  • General housekeeping duties to ensure that the process plant and work area is maintained to a high standard
  • Carry out data collection and maintain accurate data entry logs
  • Establish effective working relationships with metallurgy and maintenance personnel to achieve high plant reliability and production targets
  • Conduct workplace inspections
  • Conduct vehicle / mobile machinery pre-start checks and inspections, complete and submit accurate documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
  • Experience and competency in all stages of the process plant circuit.
  • Industry tickets, including confined space and working at heights.
  • Forklift Ticket
  • Be able to raise work orders in Pronto
  • Front End Loader ticket
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude to work and life
  • Ability to work autonomously and follow instructions
  • Be a good communicator
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Effective time management skills including the ability to multi-task
  • Current WA manual drivers license
  • Candidates must be domiciled and eligible to work in Australia (without requiring sponsorship) to be considered for employment by Ora Banda Mining.
  • Due to the current travel restrictions into Western Australia, interstate candidates should identify their availability to relocate to Western Australia to undertake this role until these restrictions are lifted.
