The Role

You will lead the people and culture outcomes for NSW with a team that is proactive and considered in their approach.        
  • Providing considered advice, assistance and coaching to GM, Managers and Supervisors on the management of employees.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders to identify and develop people solutions and processes that are conducive to the business meeting its objectives.
  • Managing the recruitment and selection process to ensure service delivery requirements are being met, are cost effective, efficient, and compliant.
  • Having an instrumental and influential role in driving a positive ethics-based working culture where the company values, policies, procedures, and people initiatives are understood and practiced.
  • Providing IR and HR advice in the development and implementation of IR strategy including establishing and maintaining a co-operative relationship with the Union, strategy planning and negotiation of enterprise agreements.
  • Providing advice on Award / and or Enterprise Agreement interpretation and application.
  • Managing employee relations matters including managing complex investigations with a focus on fair, compliant and consistent processes.
  • Ensuring employee relations are conducted with dignity and respect by being a sounding board and providing the balance between the moral compass and business needs and objectives.
  • Ensuring development & implementation of an effective and comprehensive HSE program.
  • Supporting and driving activities of the wellness program and initiatives that build a healthy mind and body for all employees.
  • Contributing and participating in identifying, planning and implementation of people initiatives and projects that are state and nationally focussed and being an integral team member of the National People and Culture team.
