Who we are:
 
Explorers Early Learning has centres operating across Victoria and we are going through an exciting period of growth. Explorers is owned by a local Melbourne family. We pride ourselves on being local and extremely passionate about providing quality care and practising the Explorers philosophy. We value our educators and reflect on, and enhance each educators professional development. We believe in respect and support, we work together as a whole bringing the children, families, peers and community together.
 
We run 'Extras' programs to encourage children to express themselves through Art, Dance, Music & Movement and Gardening and Sustainability.
The Explorers community are dedicated to promoting and implementing sustainable practices, including edible gardens.
 
Our Tarneit Centre:
Our Tarneit centre opened in January 2020. We have the capacity for up to 140 children across 2 floors with 8 rooms. Our centre is within an estate and there is ample parking on site. 
 
 We are searching for educators who:
  • Are bubbly with a positive attitude
  • Are passionate about providing quality learning environments for children
  • Are committed and professional
  • Have a strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
  • Working within various teams you will be required to engage and provide a high-quality learning curriculum for all children and families. 
An understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach and a passion for sustainable practice will be highly regarded. The successful candidate must be comfortable with technology and have the willingness to learn new skills.
 
Your Role:
  • Casual - To be able to accept shifts the same morning to cover sickness.
  • You will have the opportunity once you establish yourself to be given shifts in advance. 
  • You will be expected to support the team in the daily running of the room
  • Show initiative and also follow direction
  • Be able to communicate with families and children
  • Have an understanding of the Early Years Framework and demonstrate how you use it in your daily practice. 
Key requirements:
  • Certificate III in Children's Services / Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent
  • First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Working with children check
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Framework and National Quality Standards
