This highly adaptive multinational business designs and manufactures innovative and market-leading equipment used by customers requiring mission-critical power generation solutions. This includes both on-grid and off-grid permanent and standby power for clients operating within infrastructure, heavy industry, mining, oil & gas and large commercial buildings including data centres and hospitals.  They have also developed hybrid solutions integrating equipment with battery storage technologies, UPS, micro-grids, wind and solar farms. Job tasks and responsibilities
  
Reporting to the General Manager of the EPC division, the National Tender Manager / Proposals Manager / Senior Bid Manger will help lead the delivery of accurate and compelling bids with accountability for the overall bid strategy and the optimal customer-focussed solution.  Acting as a project manager you will have specific responsibility for the bid process for complex engineering-based customer requirements from the initial evaluation of the opportunity through to the development and presentation of the bid. You will lead regular presentations to the Executive Leadership Team and the Tender Review Committee on how to position and win bids and proposals.  This will include taking into consideration total cost of ownership, life cycle costing, competitor positioning and ensuring that the bid / proposal is tailored for the end customer.  You will manage and coach a team of around ten (10) people including Bid Managers, Estimators and the Application Engineering Team.
  
Skills and experience
  
As a degree qualified and highly motivated Senior Bid Manager / Proposals Manager  / Tender Manager, you will have ideally worked within a medium to large company that provides engineering solutions to its clients.  You will have worked in and managed a bid / tender team with applications engineers and estimators who have supported you in winning bids on complex engineering projects. In addition, you will have a reputation for working collaboratively with sales, engineering, project delivery, procurement, marketing and finance teams across your company. The Bid Manager will also have a strong grasp of governance and risk management, project management fundamentals and developing cost effective solutions for your clients. Finally, you will be a self-starter with strong influencing skills who can lead and drive positive change and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
