Our client is a leading supplier in the building sector. They are a family business who have a great reputation in the market. Due to continued growth within their business, they are looking to bring on a strategic salesperson with existing robust relationships across the building/construction space to further enhance their development.

This role will report directly to their General Manager and be an integral member of the management team. This is a wonderful opportunity to take ownership of this exciting challenge and run with it!

The role:
  • Identify new opportunities within the residential and commercial builder markets
  • Build, nurture and develop relationships with Group Home Builders and Contractors and other stakeholders
  • Manage Key Accounts
  • Identify, develop and implement new markets and growth strategies for the business
  • Carry out a range of presentations to existing and new clients
  • Provide a wide range of reports and after sales feedback to Management and relevant stakeholders
  • Oversee the Key Accounts you bring in
  • Social entertaining with clients
  
The successful candidate will have:
  • A substantial background in the construction sector with established relationships within the industry
  •  Proven success in New Business Development with a strategic focus
  • A solid sales background across the building products or construction services space
  • Key Account Management experience
  • The ability to understand and translate technical solutions to clients
  • Experience on site as well as in the boardroom
  • Specification exposure is helpful
  • A strong communicator and able to carry out presentations with confidence
  • NZ residency or Citizenship only
 
In return for your skills and attributes, you will be rewarded with working for a market leader and one in which is stable, has solid values and prides itself upon its high staff retention. A base of $90,000 to $100,000 + car make up this package.
