JOB POSITION

In this role you will be targeting the Australia & New Zealand market place, we are seeing major growth within civil construction-based projects. It’s important that you understand the soil composition to provide a technical solution relating to each drill or drilling rig that can be sold within Australia & NZ. You will work on targeting drilling contractors throughout Australia. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and New Zealand will be your key areas to begin with. As you build customers you will be required to travel extensively. It’s important to understand that your job is not provide a geological project sale but to sell large capital equipment into the construction equipment market. My client believes that if you have the technical understanding of soil matter you can quickly understand the drilling depths and the applications that are needed to get to each direction or project finalisation.

You will be required to market and sell equipment ranging from $600,000 to 1 million each, this equipment is made for highly specialised projects within the civil and major construction projects. You will have a huge list of drilling machine applications and these are
  • Rotary drilling Rigs
  • Foundation Cranes
  • Diaphragm wall equipment
  • Cutting Tools
  • Grab Systems
  • Mixing & Pumping Technology (Concrete)
Each sale will need you to identify the project at hand or what the prospects are looking to achieve through buying with you. You will then need to work through a technical application direction in relation to tools and attachments, pricing and putting together a tender to win the customer. If you have been successful in winning the customer you will work with management to have the machine designed and manufactured and then rebuilt here in Australia before it’s sent to site. You will build and keep in regular contact with all customers throughout Australia but then also look to secure new customers through cold calling and industry leads.  Your enthusiasm for sales and selling high end drilling equipment will need to be a real passion because you’re going to be working for the industry leader.

You will also be required to travel to Europe and other countries around the world once COVID has eased and countries return back to normal. You will also be involved in industry days, national conferences and international meetings. You will be supported from management to make sure you’re a success within the Australia market. The business will put you through direct training and you will have the support and direction to help you succeed in this business.
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following boxes ticked
  • Degree in Geology or Civil Engineering (or similar)
  • 3 – 5 Years in Sales and be currently working in a technical sales role
  • Proven relationships and contacts within Australia
  • Willingness to learn and give this opportunity 110% effort
  • Australian Resident or citizen
SALARY PACAKGE

On offer is a lucrative earning potential that will see you making a six figure salary package within your first year. You will be given a base salary + fully maintained company + Super + full training and technical support not just in Australia but also globally. You will also get an Uncapped Commission structure that can see you double your base salary but then in years to come this will allow you to support and achieve major financial goals for the return of your hard work.
