About the Role
The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for the successful execution of focused strategies to meet core revenue, gross margin and market share objectives.  The Account Executive will primarily focus on the mid market and smaller enterprise market which generally incorporates enterprises with 100 and 1,000 staff but may include accounts for larger Enterprises. 
 
This role will incorporate a concentrated effort around your assigned territory and includes acquiring new business and a resigning expiring contracted Revenue.  Nexon rewards Recurring Revenue and Non-Recurring Revenue streams associated with core Nexon products and services and approved 3rd party products and services.
 
 
Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned Account portfolio
  • Resign of expiring contracted revenue
  • Development of new business in both existing accounts and new customers to Nexon
  • Achieve revenue targets set out for your portfolio
  • Achieve On-Target Earnings as detailed in the Nexon QLD Incentive Scheme
  • Some travel interstate and intrastate
  • Compliance with OH&S policies and procedures
  • Any other duties as directed/or required.
 
Sales Development
  • Work with customers /prospects and consultants to develop sales opportunities
  • Develop relationships with key industry professionals and assist in developing marketing strategies to maximise all opportunities within the region
  • Build and manage an individual pipeline of revenues to achieve an average quarterly pipeline target as set out for your territory
  • Promote the Nexon name and ensure the brand is fully protected on an ongoing basis
  • Work with Marketing to help co-ordinate and ensure attendance/participation in Direct Mail Campaigns, Customer Event Sessions, Industry Conferences
  • Utilise the various quotation tools in the generation of proposals to customers.
  • Build and expand relationships with key internal stakeholders including Business Leads to best leverage the organisations resources in the pursuit of opportunities
  • Build and expand relationships with our core technology partners to position Nexon as the preferred solution provider
  • Prospect efficiently and qualify effectively to yield a closing ratio of greater than 40% of opportunities identified logged in CRM and pursued
 
Performance Measures/Key Result Areas:
  • Achievement of Quarterly and Annual Revenue and Gross Margin Targets
  • Evidence of increased sales levels within the core Nexon Products and Services
  • Increased referrals and business opportunities for core Nexon Products and Services
  • Opportunity funnel detailing progress to date, opp value, and solution overview
  • Account plans for the Top 5 accounts in your assigned territory
  • CRM adherence
 
Education & Qualifications:
  • Higher School Certificate and/or
  • Business, marketing or communications related degree or equivalent professional qualification.
 
Background & Experience:
  • Proven performer in achieving sales targets
  • 3+ years in Communications Industry with experience in establishing and nurturing customer relationships
  • 3+ years in two of the following areas:
    • ICT Security
    • Telecommunications
    • Networking & IOT
    • Unified Communications & Contact Centre
    • Cloud Services
    • Microsoft Business Solutions
    • Modern Workplace – Managed Desktop, Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of the Enterprise market, the competition, and local conditions
  • Capacity to work with staff in all facets of the business including business leads, sales support, ICT consultants, ICT solution architects, project managers and customer service engineers
  • Customer focused, ensuring a win-win relationship for Nexon and its clients
  • Understanding of competitive environment for Nexon core products and services
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate the business benefits of innovative technologies at senior levels
  • Computer literacy on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Dynamics.
