Hoop Nursing are looking for a strong and resilient Registered Nurse to work in a 26-bedded care home in the Swansea area.

The home is managed by a personable and highly experienced Home Manager and is run by a passionate and long-standing nurse and care team. The staff team consists of Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN & RNLD), Occupational Therapists, Consultant Psychologists and experienced QCF 2 & 3 qualified care staff with a high staff to service-user ratio.

This is a full-time position (39.75 hours per week). Breaks are paid in full, Bank Holidays paid at time and half with Christmas paid at double time. Newly qualified nurses are welcome to apply.

As the Registered Nurse you will providing nursing care for persons aged 18 and above who have –
  • Acquired brain injury
  • Dementia / Mental infirmity
  • Learning disabilities with a primary diagnosis of acquired brain injury and/or dementia
  • Mental illness with a primary diagnosis of acquired brain injury and/or injury
Responsibilities
  • To lead, motivate and inspire the nurse and care team to provide high-quality, personally tailored care
  • To maintain excellent working relationships with internal staff, service users, relatives, and external professionals
  • To work alongside MDT members including dentists, opticians, tissue viability nurses, palliative care teams, dieticians, and speech therapists.
  • To administer medication in line with company policy and procedure

Essential
  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an active PIN
  • Must have experience working with individuals with primary diagnosis of the above
  • Must be strong and resilient
