Hoop Nursing are looking for a passionate, committed and resilient Registered Mental Health Nurse to work in a low-secure CAMHS service in the Blaenau Gwent area.

The service provides specialist support for children and young people (between 13 and 18 years old) with severe and complex mental health conditions. As the Registered Nurse, you will support these patients by providing personally tailored, hands-on, supportive care.

You will report to the Clinical Lead and will join a resilient and determined MDT who are passionate about delivering change and improving/developing the service and the care it provides.

Responsibilities
  • To be responsible for delivering specialist nursing care in line with company policy
  • To work to professional and regulatory body codes, standards and guidance
  • To administer medication and observe/document results of treatment
  • To support service users to manage their emotions through de-escalation techniques
  • To prepare, maintain and evaluate patient records and produce care plans and risk assessments accordingly
  • To work alongside a passionate and experienced multidisciplinary team to ensure the most effective care is being provided to each patient (inc: psychiatry, psychology, education, occupational therapy and nursing)

Essential
  • Must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • Must have CAMHS experience
  • Must be strong, resilient, and determined to drive change
  • Must be committed to the role
