HOOP Nursing are seeking a passionate and driven Registered General Nurse to work in a specialist residential care home for people with Dementia and related conditions located in the RCT area.

The service provider is staffed by dedicated nurses and carers with specialist experience and understanding of looking after older people with complex needs and your role would be to provide excellent standards of care alongside this highly skilled team.

Reporting to Deputy Manager or Home Manager, the RGN or RMN is responsible in ensuring a high level of care is provided to our residents and meets the code of conduct and company procedures.

The hours of work are 33 hours a week with day and night shifts available with the rate of pay being £17 per hour.

  • To assist the Clinical Lead with the overall running of the nurse and care team – ensuring high standards of care are being delivered at all times
  • To supervise and work alongside a nursing assistant and to appropriately delegate tasks to them, when required
  • To control and administer medication in accordance with appropriate regulations
  • To ensure adherence to the codes of practice outlined by the NMC
  • To review, evaluate and contribute towards care plans
  • To motivate, lead and drive the nurse and care team
  • To build positive relationships with service users and their relatives
  • To liaise with the multidisciplinary teams on a daily basis
  • To act as “Nurse in Charge” in the absence of senior nursing staff
  • To train junior members of the team
