Hoop Recruitment is working alongside a reputable organisation with an enviable reputation that is looking for a Registered Manager with active nursing PIN to join one of their well-run care homes in the suburban area of Caerleon, Newport.
This purpose built home provides older adult care and is proud of their warm, friendly staff team that deliver high standards of care to the residents within. It is also boasts spacious rooms, quality staff and landscape gardens.
  
As the successful candidate, you will possess strong clinical skills along with excellent leadership and management capability. You will have expert knowledge in elderly nursing and have a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or the equivalent) as well as degree level qualification in Nursing (RGN or RMN).

As the successful candidate, some day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Assuming responsibility in running the service of the home
  • Building and nurturing relationships with the service users
  • Supporting and managing the entire staff team
  • Work with local authorities and health board in the interest of the residents
  • Leading and nurturing the team, driving outstanding care delivery
  • Admissions and bed management
  • Maintaining standards and working within regulations, whilst driving the home forward
  
To be successful in the role, you must demonstrate the following essential requirements:
  • Self-motivated and resilient, natural educator with leadership experience
  • Must be RGN or RMN registered Nurse with current PIN
  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or the equivalent)
  • Committed to quality and best practice
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective work relationships with both colleagues and service users
  • A strong leader with ability to sell vision to team
  
Due to the nature of the role, enhanced DBS checks will be carried out prior to employment.
