Hoop Nursing are looking for a highly experienced Registered Nurse to lead and drive the clinical team of a low-secure service in the Newport area.

The service provides high quality assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to individuals with a wide range of complex needs, including; dementia,
Huntington’s disease and acquired brain injury.

The service is operated by an extremely experienced nurse and care team who deliver the highest standards of treatment to those presenting, cognitive issues, challenging behaviour and physical/psychiatric comorbidities through personally tailored care.

You will work alongside the multidisciplinary team to focus on minimising challenging behaviour whilst enhancing each individual’s quality of life.

Responsibilities
Clinical
  • To assist the Registered Manger in providing strategic leadership to the MDT within the identified service
  • To provide strong clinical support, knowledge and guidance to the nurse and care team
  • To support ethical practice across the service and monitor/oversee any safeguarding issues
  • To educate and support the clinical team in the development of individual treatment plans and behaviour support plans
  • To communicate effectively with the patient, their family and all others involved in the network of care, including internal and external individuals
  • To monitor medication audits and address any errors in a timely manner following the company’s policy and procedure
  • To ensure behaviour support plans are ethical, quantifiable, efficient and attainable
  • To understand and adhere to all security requirements
  • To understand and promote the rights of the patient at all times
Leadership
  • To attend and partake in monthly senior manager meetings to raise and review issues to the clinical team
  • To attend MDT at the request of the service manager to provide clinical expertise and guidance
  • To support and communicate effectively with the Registered Manager and to deputise in their absence
  • To be highly involved with the induction of new staff – providing them with any support or advice they require
  • To provide direction and act as a role model, facilitating best practice and best outcomes for patients
Benefits
  • Competitive salary - £47,000 to £52,000 (dependant on experience)

Essential
  • Must be an experienced Registered Nurse with an active PIN
  • Must have strong clinical and leadership experience
  • Must have experience with neurological conditions
  • Must be an exceptionally strong Registered Nurse with extensive experience
