Joining this high performing and well-regarded team you will have the opportunity to work closely with the finance & tax departments of the firm’s clients across various different sectors.
  
As part of a team of diverse professionals you will be responsible for reviewing the financial aspects of R&D claims, ensuring compliance to tax legislation and assisting with the filing of the R&D tax credit claim. You will play an active role in developing the tax aspects of the R&D reports for submission to Irish Revenue. You will be a natural communicator and enjoy managing client relationships.  

Key responsibilities:
  • Responsibility for managing the R&D portfolio
  • To contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of R&D tax services to the client on both tax technical, financial and scientific matters
  • Build and maintain great relationships both internally and externally, providing high levels of engagement and client service
  • Build relationships both within the firm and externally with clients, identifying commercial opportunities
  • Liaise with Revenue and management of Revenue R&D tax credit audits
  • Working with technical colleagues across the department.
  • Responsible for day-to-day client liaison
Ideal skills and attributes:
  • Experienced corporate or R&D tax professional 3+ years pqe
  • Proven ability to read and interpret existing and new tax statutes
  • Team player with the ability to integrate with new people and teams quickly
  • Outgoing in nature with an interest in people and good relationship skills
  • Strong technical skills and keen to develop further
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically
  • Management and organisational skills, plan and prioritize work and meet deadlines
Skills and qualifications:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) and/or member of the Irish Taxation Institute (CTA)
  • Ability to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the R&D tax credit regime and your experience with assisting companies with R&D tax credit claims.
  • Strong Corporate Tax experience with a keen interest to specialise in R&D Taxes.
