Group Tax Director 
 
 
Our client is a Swiss multinational with headquarters located in Zurich. In this challenging and important role you will lead the corporate tax team and will have a key role in the areas of transfer pricing, tax compliance, tax audits, tax accounting, tax risk management and corporate structure planning & operation.
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead the tax team and assign projects and activities to tax team members
  • Lead the formulation, coordination and implementation of corporate structure in line with operational structure & business model
  • Lead the formulation, coordination and implementation of tax policies and strategies worldwide
  • Lead M&A projects regarding tax and corporate structure
  • Coordinate the relationships with tax authorities & external advisers worldwide
  • Lead the formulation, coordination and implementation of transfer pricing policies and strategies worldwide
  • Influence the allocation of group functions, risks & intangibles
  • Monitor and control tax compliance costs worldwide
  • Drive the set-up, merger, elimination and integration of companies
  • Review of IFRS tax sheets, tax disclosures & reconciliation in financial report of the group in collaboration with the Head of Reporting
  • Define and monitor tax provisions for major tax risks
  • Sign-off of income tax, stamp-duty tax, withholding tax and turnover tax returns of Swiss group entities
  • Support Local Heads of Finance in tax audits
  • Ensure tax compliance in Corporate Tax and VAT matters worldwide
 
Requirements 
  • In order to be successful in this challenging role, a university degree in economics combined with the Swiss certified tax expert are required
  • Tax experience in a Swiss and international environment (big 4 experience)
  • Transfer price experience – a specialization in this subject would be an asset
  • Project Management capabilities
  • Business fluency in German and English is a must
  • You possess excellent communication skills and the openness to share knowledge proactively
  • Target-oriented and independently working in your expertise area, you enable the further development and broadening of the group tax expertise
