JOB SUMMARY
EQ8 Recruit has been exclusively engaged by NYK LNG Shipmanagement to help recruit a Superintendent (Marine & HSEQ) to join the Marine & HSEQ department.  Responsible for 4 LNG vessels and reporting to the Manager (Marine & HSEQ), this role is based at their London office.
  
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to: -
  • The successful applicant must hold a Master Mariner's ticket and have served in capacity of Chief Officer on board an LNG vessel for a minimum period of 1 year.
  • Shore based experience in a similar role will be a strong advantage, but not a requirement in order to be shortlisted for this role.
  • The right to live and work in the UK is ideal; however my client will consider visa sponsorship for the right candidate.

  • Advanced Tanker safety Training (Gas)
  • Internal Auditor Certificate
  • Risk Assessment and Incident Investigation & Analysis Training
JOB DESCRIPTION
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to: -
  • Duties as the secretariat for the SMS Executive Committee and other SMS Management Committees (Internal audit committee, Internal Audit Committee, Change Management Committee, Incident Investigation Committee, etc), as applicable
  • SMS-related document management for the vessels, fleet or department as instructed by Marine & HSEQ Manager
  • Matters related to the assessment by the certifying & inspection authorities
  • Offering opinion for education and training for ship's crew
  • Plan, conduct, prepare and manage records of internal audits as directed by Marine & HSEQ Manager
  • Attending SIRE inspection and TMSA audit
  • Assisting CSO for security matters
  • Supporting internal audit and navigation audit
