Williams Munroe, Accountancy Practice specialists, are proud to be working on behalf of a Big 4 Accountancy Practice in their search for an Audit Senior Manager in their Chelmsford offices. With a rapidly growing portfolio, our client is looking to recruit individuals that have significant experience in the external audit of various sectors, inclusive of public sector businesses, FTSE 100 companies and large global organisations. 

Our client is searching for experienced Managers to provide audit and business advisory services using the most up to date technology whilst also utilising their offshore teams. Within the role in Chelmsford, you will be expected to provide a range of Audit services and business advice to a variety of clients from small, fast growing businesses to large corporate entities, including well known brands, covering most industry areas, with many having a broad international presence. 

Duties of the Audit Senior Manager position will include:
  • Managing a portfolio of external audit clients where you will be responsible for the day to day management, client liaison and technical issues management
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients of the firm, understanding and actively identifying opportunities to assist with their issues
  • Reporting to the Audit Partner and Director
  • Managing a number of direct team members, who will report directly to you
  • Responsibility for the coaching and development of your team 
  • Assisting with managing the staffing of the audit job, financial performance and ensuring that deadlines are met as expected/agreed
  • Partaking in business development activities, inclusive of winning new business and developing/maintaining relationships with new clients
As an Audit Senior Manager, you will be:
  • ACA qualified (or of a similar level)
  • Experienced in managing audits from planning and completion, through to the review of the processes
  • Flexible in your approach to ensure that targets are reached as a team
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and colleagues at all levels of seniority
  • Experienced in taking a proactive, positive approach to establishing and delivering client solutions
  • You will have experience of interacting with senior level clients and management to develop and maintain business relationships.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in IFRS, UK GAAP (including FRS 101/102) and international standards on auditing
