Williams Munroe are pleased to be working on behalf of a successful regional Accountancy Practice who are looking to recruit an experienced Private Client Manager in Birmingham, due to continual growth of the business. Our client is a well established regional practice with several  offices across the West Midlands, offering services including accountancy, audit, business recovery, forensic accounting, insolvency, corporate finance and tax advice.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Manager to join the existing team in Birmingham. Your responsibilities will include the planning, coordinating and delivery of services to both existing clients and new businesses, of which you will hold responsibility for your own portfolio. The successful candidate will be required to support the Private Client Partner in delivering the highest standards of service and managing client expectations efficiently and professionally. 
The role:
  • Managing the delivery of both compliance and advisory assignments to your portfolio
  • Assisting the Tax Partner where required with overall management of the department 
  • Continually building and maintaining strong working relationships with new and existing clients
  • Responding to client concerns promptly in an effective and professional manner
  • Attending client service reviews and working with the team to identify improvements and cross-selling opportunities
  • Contribute to client understanding at meetings, presentations and interviews
  • Assist in preparation of the annual budget for the Private Client department
  • Monitoring of budgets and WIP on a continual basis
  • Holding responsibility for the management of WIP within your own portfolio
  • Agreeing budgets, ensuring that maximum recoveries are achieved
  • Being a pro-active member of the division’s management team, embracing specific tasks to move the division forward
  • Active involvement in appropriate networking events
  • Formulating the complete marketing strategy for the Private Client department
Skills required:
  • CTA qualified - STEP would be preferred but is not essential to the role
  • Ability to use/learn software and systems used within the business
  • Understanding of MS Office software
  • Excellent communication, timekeeping and organisational skills
  • Ability to introduce and promote new ideas
  • Strong technical abilities and knowledge of Accounting principles
