My client are one of the world’s leading providers of market-defining software-based solutions for media content creators such as leading broadcasters. They are a global business, who are pioneering in their industry and unmatched in the products and services which they provide.
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications and systems in support of IT and other business units.
  • Backend development for Sitecore CMS system, including websites, APIs, services, and eCommerce.
  • Create customized solutions and integrations between business systems, sites, and services.
  • Build resilient and redundant systems and processes which will survive failures and outages.
  • Lead in test-driven development, continuous integration and deployment, scheduling, and automation.
  • Create and maintain provisioning, deployment, and automation tools to deploy applications and sites.
  • Integrate cloud computing, SaaS, CDNs, and remote systems with on premises systems and assets.
  • Design and implement efficient solutions to consolidate and migrate legacy systems and data.
  • Able to create and deploy secure solutions based on web services protocols, such as REST and APIs.
  • Work closely with other IT staff as well as marketing, sales, R&D, Logistics, and other business units, to develop and integrate solutions that meet their needs.
  • Experience with Sitecore CMS and marketing automation tools or similar, is fundamental to this role.
  • Expertise in developing solutions using C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, PHP, Python, and MVC.
  • Mastery of CI/CD, version control, and other technologies like Git, SVN, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
  • Proficiency with cloud computing, Azure, AWS, and virtualization of Linux and Windows systems.
  • Experience with developing for eCommerce platforms, and related front-end web development a plus.
  • Able to perform front-end web development using HTML, Javascript, C#, CSS, and Node.js.
  • Has mentored junior software developers on design patterns, development best practices, and theories.
  • Can manage small projects, status reporting, writing proposals, and advising on technical issues as a subject matter expert, while contributing to the formation of an IT roadmap.
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail, works well in a crisis, and able to brainstorm a solution in a group. Team-based planning and problem resolution, and yet able to perform independently.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Flexibility to move focus between tasks in different domains based on changing business needs, desire to assist other teammates to improve team skills, and ability to think outside the box.
