Meraki Talent are working with a global legal firm searching for a Dispute Resolution Associate with 3-5 years PQE experience for their office in the Channel Islands.  Ideally already based on island however, happy to provide relocation support for British and Irish trained professionals.  Preference is for an August / September start on island.

Purpose of the role:
To professionally provide technically sound legal advice on a range of issues, whilst building and maintaining productive relationships with clients and associated intermediaries

Key Responsibilities
 Support senior fee earners by providing technically sound legal advice directly to clients with appropriate
supervision
 Draft letters, court documents and witness evidence etc.
 Deliver chargeable hour's budget
 Manage 'work in progress and debt' in accordance with business standards
 Contribute to producing fee estimates and quotations
 Ensure clients are fully informed as to the fees and disbursements that will be incurred on each matter and provide updates as required
 Understand the full range of services offered by the firm and have the ability to confidently share with external stakeholders whilst delivering exceptional client service at all times

Essential requirements:
 Qualified British / Irish Lawyer with 3-5 years PQE
 Excellent academic background, including 2:1 at degree, plus Commendation/Distinction at LPC (or equivalent)
 Experience from a relevant law firm environment, ideally within a Magic/Silver Circle firm (or equivalent), England, Scotland or Irish qualified
 Excellent drafting and written communication skills
 Able to build commercial awareness and share knowledge and relevant new information with your immediate team in know how sessions
 Proactive in ensuring all financial matters are timely and up to date
 Developed negotiation skills with client when producing fee estimates and quotations
 Ability to identify leads and follow through business development opportunities
 Ability to foster strong relationships both internally and externally
 Ability to support. delegate and coach more junior members of the team
