Meraki Talent’s Global Investment manager are currently looking for a 2 x Application Support Analysts to join them on a permanent basis. These are brand new roles to the business and offer suitable candidates great career development.
  
This role is responsible for providing application support to internal users which includes, investment teams and other business support functions as well as other IT groups.  
  
  
Responsibilities of the Application Support Analyst;
  • Responsible for the end user support of applications.
  • Work closely as a team with global counterparts to monitor batch jobs and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Partner with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on application support.
  • Respond to end user support requests, ensuring user documentation is continuously reviewed and updated.
  • Understand and work through effective incident and problem management processes when issues arise.
  • Participate in risk and compliance activities, e.g., internal / external audits, supplier related risk assessments, cap testing etc.
  • Maintain system stability through the execution of good Service Management practises.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to perform risk assessments on applications as well as understanding their IT needs.
  • Troubleshoot technically complex issues and drive these through to resolution.
  • Partner with internal development teams to resolve potential software defects.
  • Assist with systems integrations and deployments where appropriate.
  • Preparation of maintenance plans and upgrading schedules for the firm’s systems.
  • Managing co-ordination of issues at a local and global level where required.
  • Act as a technical resource for internal and external projects and upgrades when required.
  • Prevent re-occurrence of incidents.
  • Responsible for cross-training others to reduce key person risk.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key 3rd party vendors.
  • Be the SME and act as service owner for applications where appropriate.
  
  
Background of the Application Support Analyst;
  • Experience in investment management - preferred but not essential
  • Experience in support applications like Tidal, Informatica and Tableau are beneficial but not essential
  • Demonstrated knowledge of programming or scripting languages.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and ability to write basic SQL queries to troubleshoot and correct data issues.
  • Strong knowledge of web-based technology networks is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated understanding of databases and data modelling.
  • Service Management experience including any ITIL certification desirable.
