Meraki Talent is currently working with an exciting independent provider of financial administration services who are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to support the UK finance team with their migration of the US and Australian accounting responsibilities. This need is due to rapid growth as a business and the roles would suit a candidate who enjoys interacting with clients on a day to day basis.
These roles would suit part qualified accountants (ACCA / CIMA) who are seeking to obtain support from their employer whilst completing their accountancy qualification.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the migration of overseas accounting functions to the London head office
  • Dealing with internal and external customer and supplier queries and providing day to day support for finance related tasks
  • Coordinating expenses and purchase invoice approval
  • Processing bank payments and XERO system bank reconciliations
  • Preparing supplier statement reconciliations
  • Prepare sales ledger invoices
  • Credit Control
  • Management of the fixed asset register
  • Assist in the production of monthly management accounts for each geographical area
  • Ensuring month end tasks run smoothly including raising journals and preparing accruals and prepayments
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in the production of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Assist in preparation of cash flow forecasts
  • Assistance with year-end procedures and liaising with auditors
  • Assisting with the preparation of statutory year end accounts
Background
  • Studying or about to start CIMA or ACCA
  • Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping
  • XERO system knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Willingness to get involved at all levels of the business
