Hayward Hawk Professional Services are delighted to be working exclusively with their client an established Belfast based business to recruit a Business Development Executive. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and researching new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships and assisting the Senior Product Manager in ensuring targeted business growth is achieved. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded graduate to gain great exposure and learn and develop within a business.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Support
  • Research and identify business opportunities within the marketplace at the direction of the Senior Product Manager
  • Conduct market research on these products and SMC ability to distribute within the NI marketplace
  • Become familiar with the full range of products and assume responsibility over a period of time for selling identified products
  • Develop sales skills in conjunction with the Senior Product Manager
  • Under the direction of the Senior Product Manager, build and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals, tenders and quotations
  • Manage incoming emails and queries from customers ensuring prompt response
  • Assist in the development, design and implementation of a Business Optimisation Plan on an annual basis which will be used as the guide for business growth
  • Assist the Senior Product Manager in the development of new ‘Special Projects’ and the implementation of ‘live’ projects
  • Liaise with all product managers and develop a budgeted Customer Engagement Plan on an annual basis
  • Complete and conduct an annual product risk analysis and action plan in conjunction with the Senior Product Manager
  • Identify revenue and profit generating ideas
  • Develop sales campaigns and focus on E-Marketing strategies / social media opportunities
  • Attend and promote the company and its products at trade exhibitions and networking opportunities
  • Use networking opportunities to identify potential new product opportunities for development
  • Investigate business networking opportunities
Key Capabilities
  • A 3rd level qualification in a business or related discipline
  • Some sales experience or an strong interest and aptitude for a career in sales and marketing
  • Relationship building skills
  • Desire to learn and a willingness to grow a career in sales and marketing
  • Ability to be flexible and to adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations or individuals
  • Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications and social media platforms
  • Full driving license
  • Flexibility to travel
