A leading Life Assurance company is looking for an Investment Accountant to manage asset valuation and reporting.


Duties & Responsibilities

• Preparation of reports relating to Policy holders assets and owned assets
• Monitoring the process of pricing the underlying assets of the unit-linked internal funds.
• Control of the NAV calculated by the TPA for unit linked funds
• Production of performance and risk metrics reports (Var, Duration, ...)
• Support for the launch of a new products.
• Manage the relationship with Fund managers
• Assisting the Company’s external auditors and Internal Audit.
• Monitoring compliance with the investment guidelines
• Understanding and implementing financial accounting requirements under IFRS and for the Financial Regulator.
• Produce regulatory reporting.

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience in similar role preferably in the life assurance or fund accounting area.
• 3rd level Degree in a finance related area
• Fluent in Italian
• Knowledge of insurance products will be an advantage.
• Solid general accounting and technical financial accounting skills and some knowledge of accounting standards.
• Strong end user computing skills, in particular MS Excel, Bloomberg.
• Knowledge of programming languages will be preferred (Access, VBA, Matlab).
