Customs Clearance Coordinator – Coleshill, B46 – Permanent.
Office Hours: Monday – Friday 08.30h – 17.30h – [one-hour unpaid lunch]
Salary: - £28,000.00 - £30,000.00 – per annum based on experience.

I am recruiting for a new customs team member to join an established international freight forwarding company based just outside Birmingham.
The role will involve dealing with the handling of import & export customs entries, all associated documentation and showing a good knowledge off formalities associated with this.

A little of what is expected in the role:
- Handling Import/Export customs entries.
- Communication with Clients, shipping lines and overseas offices/agents.
- Handling Sea Freight consignments for both Imports & Exports.
- High volumes of data entry on in-house IT systems.
- Arranging FCL/LCL loading plans/manifests/bookings & customs processes.
- Raising & passing invoices.
- Dealing with warehouse operatives.
- Experience of Freight Forwarding export/Imports.
- Specific knowledge of Customs formalities ICE/Impatex/CNS.
- High level attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Must be able to prioritise and organise own workload.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be flexible with their working hours.
- After successfully completing six months’ service, you will join the Death in Service scheme – which pays out three times your annual salary upon your death whilst you are employed.
- After successfully completing one year’s service employees are eligible to join the Private Medical Scheme (application process required).
- After successfully completing one year’s service company contributions increase to 9% for the Group Pension Plan.
