What you will be doing...
The Quality Control Technicians are members of the factory technical team reporting to the Laboratory Manager.
This role is part of a 9 strong technical and laboratory team. You will need a collaborative and trusting working relationship with the technical, manufacturing and management teams. Relationships with the customer facing technical teams at Head Office and the wider group supply functions at different sites are required.
You will carry out routine analytical and microbiological QC/QA testing of raw & in process materials and finished products to ensure compliance with legislative and quality requirements.
Carry out necessary calibrations prior to analysis.
Assist with the investigation into processing issues & customer feedback & evaluation of new products / processes & competitor products as required
You will ensure delivery of timely, accurate and precise analytical results from the central QC Laboratory
You will timely release of conforming product after post quality control activities
You will be responsible for initiation of NCR process for all NCR’s raised as part of QC activities
You will contribute to investigations of NCR’s and complaints
Minimum 5 years work experience in a laboratory / role preferably within the dairy / food industry.
Experience in the operation, calibration and maintenance of “cream box” laboratory equipment and methodologies.
Qualifications: Preferred 3 A level’s in scientific discipline.
You will have excellent numeracy skills and be computer literate.
Experience of electronic document management and LIMS systems preferred but by no means essential.

Pay: £14,245 per annum (pro Rata) – (FTE 40hrs £23,742)
25 days including Bank Holidays (Pro Rata)

The Company’s contribution to this scheme is 7% of basic salary.
