We are a design consultancy that specialises in design of machinery and production equipment. Our services include comprehensive engineering from conceptual design to detailed engineering, prototyping and testing.
  
We serve a wide range of industrial sectors from industrial automation to automotive, aerospace, food production machinery, life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
  
We are especially strong in the field of GMP machinery for the processing of pharmaceutical products, both in solid and liquid form.

Job Brief
Working across a broad range of new and targeted potential clients in various sectors including engineering, OEM’s, medical devices, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, you will be looking to build a profitable and sustainable portfolio of repeat customers; establishing Talens Engineering as a trusted partner.

Responsibilities
  • Contacting a mixture of existing clients and warm leads to inform them about our services.
  • Conducting technical discussions around customer needs and benefits of using Talens as a trusted partner.
  • Creating personalised proposals for each client.
  • Keep the CRM system accurate and up to date.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the customers’ requirements and present appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain competitor and market awareness.
  • Look for placement opportunities with customers
  • Recruit candidates to meet the requirements of customer and market needs.
  • Meet/exceed all set KPI’s.
  • Achieve/exceed all set sales targets.
  • Update the website with key news and opportunities
  • Produce marketing material for circulation
  • Update social media pages to engage with customers and potential clients
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or another relevant sales role.
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets.
  • Good knowledge of relevant computer programs word, excel, CRM Software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn about complex products and services and describe/explain these to prospects.
  • Able to stay focused and motivated, especially when faced with rejection.
  • Able to overcome objections confidently.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
