Production Engineer

Aspire Cambridge are recruiting for a Production Engineer on behalf of our client in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Production Engineer to join a rapidly expanding organisation. Based at their brand-new Production facilities and offices in Peterborough, the company manufactures medical technology which is used to reduce infection risks within hospitals and healthcare facilities. It’s an exciting and rewarding position for someone hard-working, driven and energetic!

You will manufacture, assemble, and test electro-mechanical products across the range and actively contribute towards the improvements in their design and function.

Working hours are 0730 - 1700 Monday to Friday.

The Role:
  • Electro-mechanical production and assembly to a high standard
  • Establish a deep understanding of products, their function and how they are operated
  • Thorough product testing throughout assembly and postproduction.
  • Support the evolution of the product range, providing effective feedback 
  • Oversee the stock control requirements for parts and critical components ensuring these do not fall below requirement
  • Oversee the receipt, acceptance and quality control of incoming parts and components, to ensure each meet the product specification
  • Conduct maintenance and repair of fleet systems 
  • Coordinate with the field team to ensure maintenance of accurate system records 
  • Build a deep understanding of systems allowing for effective fault finding and troubleshooting of issues
  • Contribute towards system upgrade programs
  • Maintain accurate and detailed product records 
About You:
  • Electronics and soldering experience
  • Trained and experienced in the use and operation of production/servicing machinery
  • Experience in installing and troubleshooting instrumentation
  • Experience with commissioning electronics and software would be a big plus
  • PLC / control system troubleshooting would be a bonus
  • Ability to see things through from development to completion
  • Interest, understanding and experience in the production, maintenance, and repair of systems
  • Hands-on approach
  • Ability to work well under pressure within a fast-paced environment

Start: Immediate 
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 0730 - 1700 Monday to Friday
Salary: £25,000 to £32,000
Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, Commitment to your PPD, Pension
