Early Years Practitioner - Permanent

Aspire Cambridge are recruiting for a Early Years Practitioner on behalf of our client in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

Our client values their holistic approach to childcare, and they are looking for someone who is able to provide a holistic approach to the care of each individual child in the nursery. 

Role and Responsibilities
  • To plan and provide a caring and stimulating environment that is appropriate for individual children and enables them to reach their full potential.
  • To plan and prepare exciting play opportunities that meet the children’s developmental needs.
  • To act as a key worker to a group of children.
  • To observe and assess children’s development and keep accurate records of their achievement.
  • To provide a service that respects children’s life experiences and celebrates diversity in terms of language, culture, ability, race and religion.
  • To work within the agreed framework and ensure knowledge of the EYFS is kept up to date.
  • To establish and maintain positive relationships with families in a way that values parental involvement.
Key Requirements (Qualifications and Skills)
  • To work effectively as part of a team.
  • To be flexible within working practices of nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, this will include staff meetings, training and other events.
  • A Level 3 Early Years Qualification
  • A positive approach to gaining further qualifications and continuous professional development  
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Patience, punctuality, reliability and trustworthiness
  • A positive approach to inclusive practice
  • Enthusiasm for working with children
Policies and Procedures 
  • Ensuring that safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Commitment to implementing the Equal Opportunities Policy
  • To be aware of the Code of Practice SEND 2014.
  • To be aware of the SEND policy; implement it in supporting children with additional needs and liaising with the SEND Coordinator.
  • To respect the confidentiality of information shared and received.
  • To ensure policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Any other duties as required by Management.

Start:
 Immediate 
Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire
Hours: Full time, Permanent 
Salary: £17,000 to £22,000 DOE
