£38,894 p/annum rising to £43,471 p/annum with length of service


Permanent – Full Time

Our client is a leading social housing association in the North of England, maintaining over 37,000 homes, and actively improving the lives of over 50,000 people.

This role is brand new to the organisation, and the vision for it will be someone who can provide a professional occupational health nurse practitioner service for the Group. You will be working alongside line managers to provide them with specialist guidance and advice in order to  support their staff and enable  a healthy, safe and productive approach to work.
You will be carrying out workplace assessments and making professional decisions based on these regarding individual post holders and their fitness to work. You will then make recommendations and to advise management accordingly.

Your role will include carrying out pre-employment screening, health surveillance and screening and occupational health referrals. All of these activities will be carried out to the appropriate professional medical standards.

You will be expected to contribute to the implementation of projects relating to health awareness and risk management in order to promote a proactive approach to physical, psychological and social health within the working environment. Part of this will include having to contribute to and influence the formation of policies and processes by providing specialist information on health-related issues
The ideal candidate: 

Registered Nurse Qualification
Experience of modern screening techniques and the ability to interpret the results
You must have a formal qualification (or be in the final year of working towards a formal qualification) in Occupational Health Nursing as recognised by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

Due to the nature of the role you must have a full current driving license.
