ABOUT THE CLIENT- 
Recruital has an exciting new opportunity to find a Contracts Manager for our client.. Established in 2013, this client is one of the leading environmental remediation and incident response contractors in the UK. Now they are on the lookout for people to join our team in a number of diverse roles.
As a result of continued business growth, they are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team in the York/Doncaster area.
 
ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE-
Similar role, experience in, passions etc

The successful applicant should ideally have a minimum 5years’ relevant experience working in a similar role within a remediation/construction environment, and with active involvement in managing multiple construction projects concurrently from inception through to completion.
 
THE ROLE- 
Managing multiple construction projects concurrently from inception through to
completion. You will be responsible for the Remediation Team Leaders. Reporting to Regional Operations Manager.
Main duties to include:
- Costing scopes of work, reading and understanding structural engineers plans to write
method statements and plan works to a timely manner
- Effective management of all resources associated with the projects, delivering them
within budget and previously allowed timeframes
- Managing and monitoring in-house staff and sub-contractor performance, carrying out
site visits, audits and snagging
- Working closely with environmental consultants to deliver building works whilst
ensuring remediation of properties to remove contamination from buildings and land
- Ensuring all projects are fully compliant with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental
legislation, producing and recording documentation
- Liaising and developing relationships with clients and homeowners to ensure
transparency in all stages of the project
- Compiling interim and final accounts ready for invoicing within agreed SLAs
- Identifying training needs for site operatives and delivering toolbox talks and updates on
company procedures
 
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE-
– Costing scopes of work, reading and understanding structural engineers plans
– Effective management of all resources associated with the projects, delivering them within budget
– Managing and monitoring in-house staff and sub-contractor performance
– Working closely with and acting as the first point of contact for clients, site managers and sub-contractors
– Ensuring all projects are fully compliant with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental legislation
– Liaising and developing relationships with customers and their representatives

  • Salary: £30,000 to £32,000 per year depending on experience.
